Mighty Mukuru Wanderers FC Head Coach, Nsanzurwimo Ramadhan says his troops are set for the season of happiness and he will not allow any team to rob the happiness for the Wanderers family. Speaking to Wanderers Media ahead of the TNM Super League’s opening fixture against Kamuzu Barracks on Sunday, Ramadhan was confident that his side will emerge victorious against Yellow Submarines when they meet at Kamuzu Stadium.

Said Ramadhan, “we had a camp in Mponela and we have been training in Blantyre after that, the players are responding positively which is giving us hope that we are going to hold on to happiness.” Ramadhan also downplayed last year’s statistics against Kamuzu Barracks. “First of all I was not there when the team lost to Kamuzu Barracks in the first round and then went on to draw in the second round. Secondly, time is a memory and location is energy. We are coming here into the new season with new energy and with happiness. Statistics do not not give me any fear, it is history,” concluded Ramadhan.

The Coach also gave an update on team news casting doubt on Christopher Kumwembe and new signing Clement Nyondo who are still under the Team Doctor’s watch. “They can feature or they can not feature depending on the assessment which the Doctor will do on Sunday morning,” remarked Burundian tactician.

The Nomads start their 2024 Super League campaign at home against Kamuzu Barracks on Sunday at Kamuzu Stadium knowing they have a target to win this year’s edition of the Super League having endured a season without silverware in 2023. The Lali Lubani Boys finished third in the 2023 Super League whilst their counterparts, the Yellow Submarines ended fifth in the standings.
