Coach Bob Gerald Mpinganjira has taken the blame following his side’s one all draw against Chitipa United on Saturday afternoon.
Addressing the press in the post-match interview, Mpinganjira feels his boys had a casual approach to the game which costed them full points.
𝗢𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗮 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱:
It was a mistake to give chance to our opponents in the early minutes of the game. We conceded a goal and gave them a chance to get stabilized. We came back and levelled the score but we couldn’t manage to kill the game completely. We carry the blame, we should have done better than this. All the same, we look forward to the next game.

𝗢𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹-𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗿:
I wouldn’t blame the goal-keeper. We have lost as a team. You would notice that the pass which led to the goal came from inside. It happens in football and we move on.
Chitipa United opened the score sheet in the eleventh minute before Blessings Singini levelled the score line in the 28th minute.
With the draw, the Nomads have moved to thirty-four points with just a game to wrap-up the first round. The Lali Lubani Boys will face Civil Service United in their last fixture of the first round.
