Coach Meck Mwase says he has spoken to his boys to move on from the 2-1 defeat at the hands of FCB Nyasa Big Bullets FC in the FDH Bank Cup and focus on collecting maximum points on Thursday in Karonga.
Speaking to Mighty Wanderers Media ahead of the final game in the first round of the TNM Super League against Baka City, Mwase says it’s time to forget what happened last Sunday and concentrate on gaining maximum points against the bottom side on the log chart. “Yes it’s painful and disappointing but we talked to the players when travelling up north that we needed to shift the focus and produce positive outcome on Thursday,” remarked Mwase.
Turning to the level of preparedness, the former Flames mentor was optimistic that the Nomads will emerge victorious. “Our preparations have been going on well. We are at Karonga Stadium now to feel the pitch and all looks rosy as we face Baka [City] on Thursday,” said Mwase.
The Nomads will travel to Karonga Stadium on Thursday while lying second in the standings with 25 points. A win for the Lali Lubani Boys will see them cement their position and increase their tally to 28 points, nine adrift of league leaders, Silver Strikers FC. On the other end, the home side is anchoring the log table with seven points.
