Muhammad Sulumba’s lone goal was enough for Mighty Mukuru Wanderers to collect maximum points against Silver Strikers on Sunday in the TNM Super League at Kamuzu Stadium.

The Nomads , now unbeaten in 4 consecutive games across all competitions, had been by far the better team in the first half and outplayed in the last 45 minutes .

Sulumba netted the Nomads goal in the first half through a thunderous shot after connecting a cross from Sanudi.

Before this goal,Sulumba missed a clear chance after managing to snake through two defenders only to jitter inside the box.

Another clear chance for the Lali Lubani boys came in the same first half when Vitumbiko Kumwenda lacked composure with a yawning goal when his shot went wide.

The bankers, who returned back to Lilongwe with one name in their mind ,Miracle Gabeya tried all their tricks to secure an equalizer but alas!Gabeya frustrated them on several occasions with fine clearances.

Wanderers coach,Alex Ngwira started with Richard Chipuwa in goals, while Inform left back,Joseph Balakasi was at the back with the likes of Gabeya,Sanudi and Cholopi.

  1. Happy that we collected maximum points but the play wasn’t that classic. I understand our boys considering a huge task that is ahead.

Bring it on ✊🏾 this coming Saturday
