Mighty Wanderers FC, one of Malawi’s most illustrious and renowned football clubs, has recently kicked off the registration process for its supporters. This initiative which is a partnership with one of the country’s leading insurance firm, Smile Life, has been received with enthusiasm and excitement, as fans of the club eagerly line up to become official members of the Mighty Wanderers family.
The registration process, has seen a large number of fans scrambling to sign up as ‘Nyerere’ members and show their unwavering support for the club as witnessed over the weekend at the Kamuzu Stadium during the Wanderers game against Mzuzu City Hammers.
According to the Brands and Marketing Manager for Mighty Wanderers Ltd, Greyson Chapita, the registration drive is a testament to the enduring legacy of the club and a passionate fan base that has made the Nomads become one of the most successful teams in Malawi.“Mighty Wanderers FC has a rich history and a passionate fan base that transcends generations. By becoming official members, fans are not just pledging their allegiance to the team, but also becoming part of a larger community that shares a common love for the beautiful game”, said Chapita.
He adds; “by simply filling out a registration form, providing their passport-sized photo, and paying a nominal fee to become official members of the Mighty Wanderers FC, in return, the supporters will receive a membership card and other exclusive benefits such as discounts on merchandise and invitations to special events”.Nyerere members can choose from various membership categories, including the Nyerere Platinum, which costs K175,000 per year. For this category members will have access to the VIP lounge at the Wanderers club house, five free VIP tickets per season for home matches, a free home replica jersey, an invitation to annual events, and a MK2,500,000.00 funeral cover under Smile Life. The Nyerere Gold membership costs K120,000 per year, includes access to the VIP lounge, three free VIP tickets per season, and a 10% discount on replica jerseys while the Nyerere Silver membership costs K90,000.00 per year. It comes with access to the club house main bar, three covered stands tickets per season, and a 5% discount on replica jerseys. The Nyerere Bronze membership is going at K60,000 per year, and the Nyerere Classic membership costs K10,000 per year.
