Mighty Mukuru Wanderers FC Head Coach, Mark Simon Harrison spoke to the media after his side’s 1-0 victory over the Lilongwe based Central Bank sponsored side, Silver Strikers FC

 

The Englishman expressed delight at his charges’ star performance against the second placed Bankers. While admitting that it was a tough game playing against a top side, Harrison praised his players for doing exceptionally well.

Well I have been preaching this since the day I arrived, there is pressure every single game we play. Expectations are high and we want to do well. We can always perform to the standards we want to but I am a realist, we can’t win every game, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose or draw.

That’s what we need. Negative energy brings fear in the players. Positive energy will make the players to express themselves positively on the pitch. When the players enjoy, the supporters will also enjoy, it’s a 2-way thing. And we need their vocal support again on Sunday.
