Head Coach Bob Gerald Mpinganjira has provided the latest against eleventh placed Chitipa United at Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday.
Mpinganjira spoke to Wanderers Media on Friday afternoon.
𝗢𝗻 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺’𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗮 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱:
We dropped points in Rumphi against Moyale Barracks. We need to come back and win this match. I know it will not be easy but the players are ready to produce a positive result on Saturday.
𝗢𝗻 𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀:
It’s true that we have been struggling to score goals lately. We have managed to score just a goal in each of our three previous matches. Things are getting difficult because every team that is meeting us comes well prepared. But we are trying our best in training to make sure that we get back to scoring more goals.
𝗢𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗮 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱:
We will not underrate them [Chitipa United]. They are a good side and it will be a tough game. Like I have always said, there is nothing like a small club in the league. I know they will come hard on us like all other teams are doing but we are very much ready for them.
𝗢𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗷𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀:
Madinga [Francisco] who missed out on Rumphi trip is back. He is available for selection. Isaac Kaliati who picked up an injury against Moyale Barracks is still out and will miss the Chitipa match. Clement Nyondo has started light training and will be fully back in a week or two. Sama [Tanjong], Mphatso Kamanga, Chimwemwe Nkhoma and Richard Chipuwa are also out of Chitipa game.
The Lali Lubani Boys are currently at the top of the league table with thirty-three points having played thirteen games. A win for the Nomads will open six-points gap at the summit of the log table.
On the other hand, Chitipa United are currently eleventh with fifteen points.
